Peekaboo Play Café-Guildford kindly asks that you acknowledge and abide by these rules during your visit. These rules are set in place to protect you and those around you. By Booking your Visit and entering the Café, you confirm that you have read and agree with these rules. Ignoring any of the below could result in you be asked to leave without a refund, so please ensure you read the below carefully. Please scroll down to see the Stay and Play Rules, and the Messy Play rules below. Updated: 23rd March 2022

Stay and Play Rules

Admission & Session Ticket Booking

  • Masks are now optional within our sessions. Please stay smart during your visit; sanitise your hands regularly and stay at a distance where possible. Additionally, please DO NOT enter the premises if you have any symptoms of COVID-19 or have been in contact with an individual who has been confirmed to have COVID-19.

  • Additional adults are £2 each; payable on the day. Please confirm any additional adults via email (peekabooguildford@outlook.com) prior to making your booking. This is to allow us to monitor the business of our sessions; we reserve the right to refuse entry to anyone not confirmed by Tasha or Charlie prior to their arrival. An additional adult is one additional adult that does not have a child accompanying them and is aged 11years+.

  • The SESSION TICKET is charged at £3 per child (Maximum 3 children) and covers the admission of the selected number of children (up to three) and ONE adult into the selected date of the stay and play session. Bookings are required to be made per family/carer's household - please do not book one SESSION ticket for two separate individuals with children each. An additional adult is one additional adult that does not have a child accompanying them.

  • -“Why do you take payment for a SESSION TICKET?” Simply put, it's to prevent people from reserving a spot in advance and then not turning up on the day. This causes huge problems and losses for Peekaboo Play Café - Guildford. On the day of your visit, your booking will be confirmed at the sign-in desk by Tasha and Charlie.

  • Please ensure you sign in at the Kitchen Hatch as soon as possible after your arrival.

  • Cancellations & Refunds: Due to Peekaboo Play Café-Guildford’s capacity limits, unfortunately, no refunds can be issued. Rescheduling of a session is available up until 24hours before the start time of the session. If within 24hours before a session begins you can pass your space to a friend; please ensure we are informed of their details prior to their arrival and that the space is passed onto a friend with the same number of children.
-Why?: This is because, your reservation has taken one paying spot that day, taking the chance of a reservation from someone else which we may not be able to fill at such short notice.
    - Exceptions: If for any reason Peekaboo Play Café-Guildford is forced to close and we cancel your booking, then your reservation can be rescheduled for another day, or refunded under specific circumstances. Please contact Tasha and Charlie by email: peekabooguildford@outlook.com to discuss further.

  • Childminders receive a 10% discount on their food prices upon providing their registration number.

  • Group bookings of 5 or more individuals receive 10% off their food prices - please ensure a group name is mentioned on each bookings additional comments section.

Food & Drink

  • Peekaboo Play Cafe is NOT an Allergen-Free venue. As we share our venue with other hirers of Compton Village Hall, who may serve nuts and other allergen foods during their hall usage time; we cannot guarantee an allergen-free environment. Therefore, we have not limited our Café menu and DO serve products containing nuts and other allergens. However, our menu clearly states which products contain nuts, and at the time of collection, this is also confirmed with the customer. If you have any other allergy requirements, these must be stated at the time of booking, AGAIN when you sign in and AGAIN at the kitchen when you place any food orders.

  • Please only consume food in the designated dining areas, do not allow your child to walk around with food that can be dropped in the play area or passed to another child.

  • Hot drinks will be given in disposable cups with lids to help reduce the risk of spillage. Please ensure you handle hot beverages safely when moving around the venue and ensure they remain out of the reach of children. Please report any spillages AS SOON AS POSSIBLE to ensure they are cleaned up prior to any accidents occurring.

  • Please DO NOT BRING FOOD OR DRINK WITH YOU INSIDE THE CAFE, unless it is baby food, and has been logged or discussed with management first. Snacks, food and drinks can be purchased at the kitchen hatch. Peekaboo's existence relies heavily on the sale of these products and we also try to keep track of any allergens within the premise, so please help to support a small local business.

  • After eating/ drinking, please dispose of your rubbish in the bins provided throughout the venue, and clean your tables, highchairs and any mess made on the floor. Cleaning materials and tools are available in the dining area and in the kitchen.
